OWACDO Team joined WOHEPI Tram at Corner Stone School, behind Gyado Villa Gboko Road, Makurdi to commemorate the 2022 Menstrual Hygiene Management Day. This years theme is MAKING MENSTRUATION A NORMAL FACT OF LIFE BY 2030
We created awareness and sensitisation to the adolescent girls on the importance of Menstrual Hygiene Day. The were told to end period stigmatisation and to break the silence on menstruation.
Other important key enlightenment to note were :
- How to change their pads regularly.
- To Wash their hands before & after changing the pad.
- To Discharge used pad safely and properly.etc etc
The high point of the event was the Distribution of KOTEX pad to every girl to enable them have access to the menstrual hygiene products.
